Marvel Pinball Soundtrack available for free
The soundtrack to Zen Studios' Marvel Pinball is now available for free:

I like the Spider-Man tracks best. Well.... the Spider-Man table is my favourite to play too.
I'm looking forward to the Fantastic Four table in a few weeks, and apparently Zen are getting ready to release one table per month after that! I have high hopes for them!

Way Of The Samurai 3 - out in the UK, free artbook PDF
Way Of The Samurai 3 on PS3 is out here in the UK today.
I have enjoyed the previous Way Of The Samurai games for the ability to free roam and get involved with the game world, finding your way to what you consider to be the best conclusion to the events that unfold. I've had an import copy for a while (I got it as a Christmas present!), but I haven't actually started playing it yet.
If you would like the PDF of the artbook for Way Of The Samurai 3, sign up with Rising Star Games (the UK publisher for the game), and you can download it for free.
That's a 6MB PDF at low quality, or a whopping 240MB PDF at high quality.
There's also exclusive art and a guide. It's nice of them to give this away, I thought.

Free Tea!
Do you know what my favourite drink is in the whole wide world? It's a cup of tea on a Sunday morning. Tea always tastes nicest on Sundays, and I don't know why.
I prefer Tetley tea, made with fresh boiling water, with milk. ^__^
However, free tea is also good. :)
Twinings have a promotion on at the moment where they send you 2 teabags and a 20p off voucher, if you just give them your name and address so they can send it to you! I signed up a few weeks ago and got a bag of Ceylon and a bag of Lady Grey, then they sent me an email for this current promotion and I've asked for some varieties of green tea - though they are offering fruit infusions as well.

Free Geometry Wars remixed music
I downloaded some free music this week - a 13 minute track of electronic trance music - and listened to it for a few days solidly while working. That's unusual for me.
It's some remixed music from the Geometry Wars games (old-school Robotron-style shoot-em-ups), from UK games company Bizarre Creations. It's good music to work to; instrumental, a little retro.

Shin Megami Tensei Imagine MMO now in beta
Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine: the free-to-play MMO (developed by Cave), based on Atlus's Megami Tensei series of RPGs is now in the process of being localised to English by Aeria Games, and is now in closed beta. Actually, it has been since the beginning of December but I didn't get round to installing it until this weekend (I've been busy!)
Although it's a closed beta, Filefront are giving away 20000 free access keys, so it's not very closed if you want to join in! I got one of those keys last week, then got sent an invite from Aeria games on Friday via email, so now I have the access key spare. :/
All character data is going to be erased when it goes to open beta, so I'm hesitant to put much time into it. All I've done so far is create a character, follow the tutorial and do the first mission. My character is level six.
I was thinking, from the MegaTen games I've played, and from people's descriptions of the game, that it would be kind of like an online and demon-filled, dark, grown-up version of Pokemon. The reality is that it feels like a cross between Phantasy Star Online and playing as a beastmaster in Final Fantasy XI, and I get the feeling that the game may have borrowed some of the stylistic elements from the .hack games/anime. Well, I don't know really, since this MMO fits in the storyline between the 1st and 2nd SMT games and I only started playing at the 3rd game, so I don't know the style of those older games.
It seems that you can only summon one of your demons at a time, and you fight alongside it. You choose how to allocate stat points to your character as you level up, and which skills to train up in as you fight, and in this way you mould your character into a melee fighter, long-range shooter, or magic user. I'm completely undecided as to what I'd like to be at the moment! Before I started playing, I was under the impression that I would be controlling the demons, not both the player and their summoned demon both at once.
There's only one server (Cerberus), containing several "channels", and their load has always been labelled "sparse" when I've gone in, however it's still a bit laggy (sometimes it becomes somewhat unplayable), and there's something on the front of the site saying that everyone should suffer fewer disconnect issues now. Another issue - I did notice that during the tutorial mission, the final cutscene was subtitled in Japanese rather than English (NB: it is easy to work out what happened even if you can't understand the language). So it's definitely a work in progress. But, worth a look if you're at all interested at getting to play this part of the MegaTen series, and it's free! :D

Tower of Druaga - free 1st episode
Following the announcement that the Japanese animation studio Gonzo will officially be streaming their brand new anime episodes with english subtitles, and the announcement that viewers are free to pay what they think the anime is worth, the first episode of The Tower Of Druaga - The Aegis of Uruk is available for free, and can be viewed on youtube here.
Normally I wouldn't bother going out of my way to watch an anime from Gonzo, but since it's linked to a Namco game, and is apparently rather funny, I might watch it. (however, not right now, since I'm busy...)
