Ways in which living in the future is awesome
- You can get to information so fast!
- People share opinions on the internet so fast it's almost like being psychic!
- Some diseases which used to be a death sentence no longer are!
- People can 3D print out replacement body parts and stuff! It's amazing!
- People aren't allowed to smoke in anywhere that's a workplace or public transport!
- Working from home is do much more doable for certain office type jobs!
- I can find and get goods shipped to me from the other side of the planet, no problem!
- Though I am running out of space in my house to keep video games, I also own about 2000 video games on PC and console that have no physical presence!
- Incredibly rare recordings of music (bootleg concerts / demos) are just available with no hassle. No furtive cassette trading, 10th generation copies of stuff artists didn't think are good enough to release but you still want to listen to.
- It's easy to find and converse with people who have similar hobbies / interests, even if they are really niche.
- It's so much easier these days to obtain technical knowledge, and tools. Whether paid or free.
- Coding is also so much more high-level, and the goal is "make your code easy to work with" rather than "do clever stuff in a crazy unreadable way to make it efficient then write some comments, which will turn into lies as soon as someone else changes something".
I <3 living in the future!
