Japanese video game English localisation news - 43

Featuring:

  • Final Fantasy VII (PS4)
  • Dark Cloud (PS4)
  • Rogue Galaxy (PS4)
  • King Of Fighters XIV (PS4)
  • Ni no Kuni II (PS4)
  • Street Fighter V (PS4)
  • Rez Infinite (PS4 / Playstation VR)
  • Ace Combat 7 (PS4 / Playstation VR)
  • Yakuza 5 (PS3)
  • Yakuza 0 (PS4)

Some big Sony announcements from "PlayStation Experience 2015". Since it's an event in San Francisco, I'm assuming these are all up for an English version.

Final Fantasy VII (PS4)

The dubious remake has a trailer up, and the port of the old PC version is live.

Dark Cloud (PS4)
Rogue Galaxy (PS4)

These two old PS2 games can now be purchased on PS4 and have trophies. Some other PS2 games got launched on PS4 as well, including some GTA. (More info)

(It's not full free PS2 emulation; you can't pop a PS2 disc into a PS4 and play a game the way that you can, for example, pop a PS1 disc into a PS2 or PS3 and play it)

King Of Fighters XIV (PS4)

--

Ni no Kuni II (PS4)

--

Street Fighter V (PS4)

Has a new character called F.A.N.G: Trailer

--

Rez Infinite (PS4 / Playstation VR)

VR remake - is the 2nd reason I am actually considering one of these headsets after all.

--

Ace Combat 7 (PS4 / Playstation VR)

--

Yakuza 5 (PS3)
Yakuza 0 (PS4)

Yakuza 5 launches (finally) on December 8th in US (digital), and Yakuza 0 is announced as heading for the US (physical and digital).

Notably, this is the only announcement that isn't mirrored on the European PS blog.

The European blog *did* get an update post on Yakuza 5 three months ago, so it is due...

Finally - some rumours about games that may come to Steam because folks have been trawling the DB to see what they find.

It's getting updates, so I'm not going to repost them here - follow the link. There are some games that have notably been Vita exclusives in the past. If they get ports, I'm glad more people will have the chance to play them (hope the PC gamers don't complain too much...)
