PS4 Pro, PS4 slim

Well, Sony had a big announcement meeting yesterday and announced that the PS4 slim is the new default model of PS4, and there's going to be a "PS4 Pro", which costs a bit more (but only about the price that a PS4 used to be) and can do 4K gaming and make things look extra nice on HDR TVs.

Basically, I think Sony want to get back into TVs and are using the PS4 as a vehicle for doing so, rather than thinking "what is it that gamers want? What are they are asking for?"

The best thing to come out of this?

I think this is the best advert since Segata Sanshirou.

The historical figure on the 5000 yen note comes to life and sings us a lovely heartfelt song about how Persona 5 rescued her and so the price of a PS4 with Persona 5 bundle is now going to be 5000 yen cheaper, which is 29,980 yen. Plus it's a slightly smaller model.

Which is a very good deal, since if you look at Amazon.co.jp for the pricing on the old model PS4 and standard edition Persona 5, they would come to about 48000 yen separately.

Gochi-Show! -How To Learn Japanese Cooking Game- (PC)
Gochi-Show! for Girls -How To Learn Japanese Cooking Game- (PC)

Two educational cookery games, one with female hosts, the other with male hosts.

Originally released as mobile games. I think I'll stick with watching papadesuyo777's videos on YouTube instead; no host, just preparation of delicious looking food!

Adventure World (PC)

It was actually released on the 2nd August, but I missed it - probably because it has the most generic name ever. Actually it's stylised as "Adventure World ~ Alisa The Swordswoman ~" on its logo, but it's not written anywhere on the page.

It appears to be the clean, all-ages version of this game (NSFW). Some of the things this game are tagged with make me want to not investigate any further.

Pale Moon Crisis (PC)

This is a game which is up on Steam Greenlight right now, by the same developer as "Adventure World" - a circle named Alibi.

It says: "Pale Moon Crisis is adapted from Mansion, an R-18 doujin game." - this version will focus on gameplay and quality, and will not have sexual content.

So - here's a link to Mansion (very NSFW), in case you were wondering.

SMILE GAME BUILDER (PC)

A new RPG game creation tool on the market, from SmileBoom. It boasts no programming knowledge needed, 3D world support, custom assets can be imported.

Moekuri! ~International Edition~ (PC)

A kickstarter for the localisation of a doujin SRPG. It is currently under $1000 away from hitting its goal, with just over a fortnight remaining on the clock.

Developers: Mokyusoft
Localisation team: Culture Select

Deserter Simulator (PC)

This one's been out since 30th July 2015 but I only just noticed it. It's one of those intentionally terrible kusoge, intent on frustrating the player with deliberately awful controls (which sometimes decide to drive you into walls).

Possibly more entertaining to watch than to play?
